Flickr mashups are tools you can use with pictures and animation. I liked the application called Animoto. I could see someone running for political office and using Animoto to create a professional and low-cost video to raise awareness about their candidacy for political office.
The other tool is called Montager. It intrigues me because someone can use this to create a photo album of family pictures. I wonder if you can burn images from Montager on a DVD and have some music in the background.
